I am an associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants,
passing my final exams in 2002 and accepted as a member in 2005. I became a Member in Practice in April 2008.
I am also an associate of the Institute of Credit Management.
I gained my Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accountancy and Finance from the University of Birmingham in 1995.
My employment history began in a provincial accountancy practice, where I gained a solid grounding in all aspects of
small and medium sized businesses. I then moved into finance in industry where I spent 5 years at the Caudwell Group.
During the significant growth of the Phones 4U from 100 stores to over 350. It was at Caudwell where I had the opportunity
to gain some overseas experience working in Madrid for 6 months.
I have been based in the Newport Pagnell area since 2006. Working in a consultancy firm, I encountered time and
again small companies were struggling to get access to the same quality of advice and support that larger companies with their
own finance departments can afford. This was making it harder for them to compete on a level playing field and to protect
and grow their business. I therefore set up this company with the aim of helping to bridge that gap by offering my services
on a smaller, bespoke and more affordable scale.
My aim is to give my clients the financial tools and support that will enable their businesses to grow into larger, more
profitable entities.
In 2006 I spent 6 months travelling in countries which have both rich heritages, and key industries. I visited Japan,
China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. In 2007 I added Cuba and Morocco to the growing list.
When travelling I use companies who specialise in responsible tourism, ensuring that you see the real charm of a country and
where, as far as possible, the money you spend is returned to the local economy. In this way that charm is sustained.
